4 I am ruining Christmas (so someone says)

We are in the middle of another busy weekend. Doesn't that always seem to be the way things go this time of year?  I just thought I would write a quick post to show off what B and I worked on last night. We are making our own wrapping paper using packaging paper that I have been saving from random packages we have received.  Originally I was going to paint with him but I didn't have time to research some natural paint recipes (without paying the price for natural paint). Oh well...next year.

This year we coloured with crayons. It is really hard to come up with simple holiday things that B I can draw. Joe kept suggesting things like a sled, elves, Santa and the baby Jesus and I am sure I looked at him with this look on my face.

And when I decided instead to stick to simple things like Christmas trees, really badly drawn reindeer, candy canes, presents, lights and wreaths Joe told me I was ruining Christmas.

Does this look like I am ruining Christmas?

Wrinkles = Love

This should be hanging in an art gallery somewhere. I totally nailed the essence of that reindeer. The scribbles are not mine...they belong to B. And look I actually wrapped presents with it!

Martha Stuart is probably so jealous.

  2. We're going green, too and I stuck with gift bags and using the last of the gift wrap. Next year will be the first Christmas without wrapping paper, so I might have to start brainstorming early to get the craft right! When all else fails, just use the comics from the paper :)

  3. Using bags is a great idea too! We have some that go back and forth in our family every year and have been for years and years.
